Xtreme Download Manager (XDM) is a desktop download manager for Windows, Linux and (with XDM 9) macOS. It speeds up downloads with segmented, multi-connection downloading, resumes interrupted transfers, saves streaming video and integrates with every major browser.
Who makes XDM
XDM is created and maintained by Subhra Das Gupta (@subhra74), with help from contributors and translators around the world. The full source code is on GitHub under the GNU General Public License.
Our principles
- Free for everyone. No paid tiers, no trials, no feature locks.
- No adware. The installer never bundles third-party software or browser toolbars.
- Privacy first. The app and extension don’t track you. Your downloads stay on your computer.
- Respect for creators. XDM doesn’t circumvent DRM and stays off YouTube.
How this website is funded
Ads on this website, served by Google AdSense, help cover development and hosting so XDM can stay free. Ads are never shown inside the XDM app.
